Targeted Strategy Plans for Outcomes 7A/7B
and Required Activities for Schools

The purpose of this Memorandum is to provide information to school site administrators regarding the 2011-2012 Modified Consent Decree (MCD) Targeted Strategy Plans for:
• Outcome 7A: Placement of students with disabilities (ages 6-18) with all eligibilities, other than specific learning disabilities (SLD), speech language impairments (SLI), and other health impairment (OHI) in the general education setting for 40% or more of the instructional day; and
• Outcome 7B: Increased placement of students with multiple disabilities orthopedic (MDO) in the general education setting for 40% or more of the instructional day.

Special Education Parent Training Information Calendars, 2011-2012
The purpose of this Memorandum is to provide information to schools about the Special Education Central Office and Local District parent trainings being offered during the 2011-2012 school year. Schools are required to publicize and disseminate this information to all parents of students with disabilities. The information includes calendars of parent presentations by the Special Education Parent Training Information Office (PATIO) which includes trainings for the Special Education Multicultural Advisory Committee (SEMAC), the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) and the Complaint Response Unit/Parent Resource Network (CRU/PRN) monthly meetings, and Local District sponsored trainings.
